language. Cashmere was derived from the shawls sold in

a species of goats, called Capra Hircus which is found

is 1/6 the diameter of human hair, thats how fine it is.
The annual growth of three goats is required to produce
one pashmina shawl. This fine wool comes from the
undercoat of the goat. For hundreds of years Cashmere

long life. However these goats are not harmed in the process
of producing pashmina, as the hair is collected
after being shred naturally.
